Antitrust and Consumer Protection
Panama’s Antitrust Law No. 45 of October 31, 2007, regulates and stands for free competition principles and protection, eradicating the creation of monopolies and unfair competition. This law also provides consumer protection. It regulates adhesion contracts, goods and services warranties, price information, false advertising, and door-to-door sales, among others.
